With full-time instructors on staff, we keep class sizes small, and even one-on-one whenever possible. We believe that divers in training learn more and become a better diver when they are able to have the full attention of their instructor.
Flexible Scheduling
Because of our smaller class sizes, we are also able to be very flexible with course scheduling. Required dives for many courses can be completed during normal daily boat dives, and classroom time can be arranged so as not to interfere with dive time

Location, Location, Location!
Coco View Resort provides an ideal location to train with our top-notch instructors. Warm, clear, shallow water a few steps from the dive center are ideal for teaching new divers and the two walls and 140 ft wreck accessible from the Cocoview’s beach are great places to hone your skills. Plus, more than 30 dive sites less than 15 minutes away by boat provide a wide range of options for advanced training.
Perfect for students who have completed their class and pool training prior to their arrival at CoCo View. Students must bring a Student Referral Form, provided by their initial instructor, and a copy of their medical statement. Students may provide their own equipment or rent equipment from Dockside. Included: 4 Open Water Dives
Divers that did not complete the PADI eLearning for their knowledge development will have to pay the current certification processing fee. We’d be happy to quote you that price at the time of your reservation.

Open Water Diver eLearning
For those that want full certification. Participants complete the academic portion on line prior to arrival then complete the confined and open water dives here at CoCo View! The course is progress based, not time based, so students can move along at their own pace. Average time to complete is 3 days.
Prepayment to Dockside for the eLearning code is required – please contact us for payment options.

Scuba Refresher
Has it been a while since your last dive? Feeling a little rusty? No worries, we will get you back up to speed in no time! First we will review the key points on dive planning and equipment set up. Then we will get in the water to practice basic skills with emphasis on buoyancy control. Our instructor will then take you on an open water dive in the front yard.
Cost: $65 Time: 2-3 hours
Advanced Open Water
Ready to continue your scuba journey by learning new skills? Then this course is your next step! You’ll practice navigation, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choosing. Select from peak performance buoyancy, night, wreck, search & recovery, boat, fish ID and underwater naturalist. The 5 course dives are conducted over two days. You can prepare for the program by completing the PADI eLearning on line or by using the PADI Advanced Open Diver Manual. Please contact us to let us know what you prefer!

Rescue Diver eLearning
Great for Advanced divers who want to expand their diving skills and learn to assist others. This course teaches you to recognize and prevent potential diving accidents before they occur as well as how to handle them if they do. Enjoyable or fun might seem unlikely descriptions for this program but that’s how most certified Rescue Divers describe this course! Participants do need to have a current CPR certification (within the last 24 months).
Participants complete the PADI eLearning program prior to arrival. We will schedule the 2 training days to fit into your schedule as best we can! Please contact us for more information on how to receive the eLearning code and get started!

Divemaster elearning
For Rescue Divers who wish to take the first step in their professional dive career. This course is for Cocoview guests who want to complete their divemaster training in 10-14 days rather than completing a 4 week divemaster internship.

Our divemaster internship program is a great way to experience life as a dive professional and gain experience in all facets of being a divemaster at a world-class Caribbean dive resort, while at the same time completing your PADI Divemaster course requirements. PADI Dive Theory Online consists of six easy-to-learn sections, covering Physics, Physiology, Equipment, The Recreational Dive Planner, Diving Environment and Dive Skills. The course is designed for anyone who is interested and wants to improve their dive theory knowledge, and is a great review for PADI Divemaster candidates.
Experience the thrill of scuba diving without taking the full course. After a brief orientation, you participate in a skills practice session where an instructor teaches the skills necessary for diving safety and comfort. Then you go on an actual fun, fish-filled scuba dive with your instructor. Included: all equipment, instructor-guided shore dive. * Additional dives may be made under the direct supervision of an instructor at a cost of $75 per person (price includes equipment).
Cost: $125 Time: 2-3 hours.

Specialty courses are great for divers who want to sample different types of diving under the direction of an instructor. The choices listed below are just a sampling of specialty courses offered by PADI instructors. Peak Performance Buoyancy
For those who want to fine-tune their weighting, practice total buoyancy control, reduce air consumption and increase bottom time. Included: Certification costs, 2 dives with an instructor. Time: 1 day.
Cost:$165 Time: 1 Day
Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)
Perfect for divers who want to maximize their ‘down’ time. Due to the lower percentage of nitrogen in enriched air, your body absorbs less nitrogen during the dive, allowing you to stay underwater longer. This course can be completed on line with eLearning making it very easy to complete your certification once at the resort. We will have you diving Nitrox from the get go! Please contact us for your eLearning code! If you prefer to read the manual, no problem, just stop by the shop for the course materials. Enriched Air tanks are not included.
Cost:$145 Time: 2-4 hours for elearning at home and about 1 hour at Coco View
Wreck Diver
Great for Advanced divers who want to learn how to safely explore underwater wrecks under the guidance of a PADI instructor. Included: All course materials except lights, certification costs, 4 wreck dives. Time: 2 days.

Night Diver
For certified divers who want to experience and learn more about the underwater world after dark. Included: All course materials except lights, certification costs, 3 night dives. Time: 2-3 days. Minimum two participants.

Although most scuba dives are made with a buddy, an experienced diver may want or need to make dives without a partner. During the Self-Reliant Diver course, you learn about potential risks of diving alone and the value of equipment redundancy and necessary back-up gear. During three scuba dives, you develop skills for self-reliance and independence, while becoming a stronger partner in a dive pair or team.
