Come visit CoCo View Resort on beautiful Roatan island in the Western Caribbean, become a Divemaster as you work alongside dive professionals at a premier dive resort.
What is included?
Tuition for Divemaster training and certification, work-study program, housing, 3 meals daily at CoCo View Resort on the island of Roatan, Western Caribbean. Read this section carefully when comparing other Divemaster internships – most don’t include housing, meals, and excellent shore diving.
As a divemaster Intern you will gain real world experience assisting with classes, honing your skills, and be mentored by some of the finest instructors, divemasters, and boat captains in Caribbean.
Our location at Coco View Resort provides an ideal location for instruction and practicing your skills.
Intern’s rooms have private baths
Divemaster Interns can grab tanks and access a 140ft long wreck and two amazing wall dives right from our beach.
Interns stay in private rooms with AC that are just a few steps from the ocean and Dockside Dive Center at Coco View Resort.

Internship Cost: $1,995 Materials Cost: $397 eLearning Deposit: $200 deposit required to secure a spot in the divemaster internship program. We highly recommend applying for the internship as far in advance as possible to help insure availability.
Duration: 4 Weeks
Housing: Divemaster interns have a private, air conditioned, room and bath in the CoCo View Resort staff housing, just steps away from Dockside Dive Center, where they will work while completing their divemaster course requirements and internship program.
Meals: Interns are treated to breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets served in Coco View’s dining hall. A wide range of tasty dishes are available at each meal. PLus, the conversations you will have with Coco View guests at meal time will be as varied as the buffet. Many of the divers that come to Coco View have dove all over the world and have tons of stories and knowledge to share.
You will be mentored by seasoned instructors through out your internship.
Prerequisites:
Be certified to the Rescue Diver level
Be 18 years of age
Logged 40 scuba dives to begin Divemaster training
Logged 60 scuba dives to complete Divemaster training
Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months
Medical clearance for diving (PADI Medical Form) signed by a physician within 12 months
Associated Courses: If you need to complete the Rescue Diver course prior to starting the DM internship we are here to help! Interns can add an additional week to their stay for only $500 (includes room and board). The cost of the course is seperate.
In and out of the water interns are always learning!
Under the watchful eyes of your instructors you will lead divers on an orientation dive as you hone your skills.
Gain real world experience assisting with PADI courses.
The DM Interns work hard and study hard, but it is also lots of fun and filled with diving, diving, diving!
The140 ft ship wreck and two walls to explore from Coco View’s front yard provide Divemaster interns with an ideal place to dive as much as they want, and hone their skills.
Interns learn how to assist instructors during courses and lead certified divers on fun dives.

Nitrox: If you prefer to dive with Nitrox, tanks are available but NOT included in the internship. Cost is $8 per tank or $135 per week.
Additional living expenses: – Any needed cleaning supplies for staff quarters – Maid service if requested – Offsite food or entertainment is not included in the cost of the internship program – $5 per load of laundry
